The venue was completely re-built and opened at the beginning of the year 2004. Pier Pressure is Hastings only alternative club dealing in Trance, House, Hard House, Drum n bass, R and B, Techno plus crossover and related alternative sounds. The club has great following It is also probably the most well known club of its type in the area. Pier pressure opened Jan 2004 and immediately drew the attention of the serious clubbers in the area. Pier Pressure has facilities outside the main club including a pub, toilet facilities, cloak room and food bar, this is all on the ground floor. The club itself is up a flight of stairs in to the main room. Pier Pressure consists of a main dance room including a huge bar, with an over looking balcony section accessible by a flight of stairs. A chill out room which includes its own bar and arcade machines, and male and female toilet facilities. The club pumps it's way through the weekend playing drum and bass, uplifting trance through to the more energetic and hard thumping techno sounds. It is easily Hastings premier dance venue with its seamlessly mixed sets of up for it tunes, amazing light and lazer shows and a crowd to die for.
